After searching and researching for several months I finally found the keyboard that fits me best in the Roland FP-4. It's the closest thing to feeling like a real Steinway to me - that is of course until Steinway decides to sell their key mechs in a MIDI-controller box!! A man can dream, can't he?
For the past two years I have been an advocate of the Steinway library in Synthogy's Ivory. The majority of my recordings have used this library and I am most satisfied with the results.
Garritan has created the only authorized Steinway piano library and my initial opinion of it is that this thing is simply amazing. I've only just begun composing with it.
